Because Sangwa is located on the shore of a lake, there is always a pleasant breeze. In the morning it’s possible that you might need a light sweater, in the afternoon it can get hot. In the evenings and especially at night, the temperature cools back down.

Rwamagana you can find grocery stores and a large market which is also open on Sundays. In and around the area, there is a market about 4 km away open every Thursday and Saturday and at about 8 km away there is a roadside fruit and vegetable market which is open everyday.
