Please refrain from bringing plastic bags to Rwanda. Banned by law since 2008, any plastic bags in your luggage will be confiscated at the airport or other point of entry.

We separate as much waste as possible: Residual waste and compost are separated. You’ll find a separate trash can for both under the sink. Unfortunately, recycling of cardboard and plastic is still in its unfancy in Rwanda. Can we therefore ask to limit waste as much as possible? By avoiding the usage of plastic bottles and cans, the amount wasted will be reduced by a great deal. Potable water can be tapped in reusable bottles from our water supply.
